Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral to see a dietitian?

No referral is needed to see a dietitian privately—you can book directly with us at any time.
If you have a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GP CCMP), you’ll need a referral form from your GP to access the Medicare rebate.

Can I claim Medicare or private health rebates?

Yes—if you’ve been referred under a GP Condition Management Plan, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate. I can process this for you at the time of your appointment – just bring along a cheque/savings card and your Medicare card.

Most private health funds also offer rebates for dietitian services. Bring your Private Health card to your appointment and we can do an ‘on the spot’ claim

What happens in an initial consultation?

Your first appointment is all about getting to know you—your health goals, your lifestyle, your eating habits and behaviours. I’ll get a solid underatnding of your medical history, medications, and social history. We'll explore what’s working, what’s not, and come up with a plan that feels realistic and supportive. Nutrition information and education is provided in this initial consult. If, following the initial consultation you would still really like a meal plans, I can easily arrange this for you

Do you offer meal plans?

Yes—meal plans are available as an optional add-on for $50

In our sessions, the focus is on helping you build flexible, sustainable habits that suit your lifestyle. But if you'd find it helpful to have a meal plan as a starting point or guide, I can absolutely create one tailored to your goals, preferences, and dietary needs. The aim of the meal plan is to provide some initial structure, but it is meant to be flexible to fit in your lifestyle.

Will you make me cut out sugar, carbs, or “bad” foods?

Absolutely not. We don’t label foods as good or bad. Our approach is weight-inclusive and grounded in intuitive eating principles. That means we’ll help you understand how all foods can fit in a balanced, nourishing way.

Can you help with PCOS / menopause / gut health / disordered eating?

Yes, we support clients with a wide range of concerns, including PCOS, perimenopause/menopause, IBS, emotional eating, and more. We take a gentle, personalised approach to each client’s goals and challenges. If you’re unsure if we’re the right fit, just get in touch, we’re happy to chat.
