PCOS Dietitian Perth - Support Without Restriction
Hi, I’m Jess, an Accredited Practising Dietitian based in Fremantle, supporting women across Perth and online with evidence-based, practical nutrition care.
If you’ve recently been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) — or have been managing it for years, you’ve probably heard all sorts of confusing, conflicting advice.
“Cut carbs.”
“Just lose weight.”
“Go keto.”
“Try this supplement.”
It’s exhausting. And honestly, it’s often unhelpful.
I want you to know: you deserve better than restrictive rules or one-size-fits-all plans.
1. PCOS Is Complex, and You Deserve More Than Generic Diet Advice
PCOS affects everyone differently. Some women struggle with irregular cycles or skin breakouts. Others deal with fatigue, mood swings, cravings, or stubborn weight gain. Many experience insulin resistance, inflammation, and hormone imbalances. However, the symptoms, causes, and severity vary from person to person.
That’s why I don’t offer “PCOS meal plans” or blanket food rules.
Instead, I work with you to understand what’s going on in your body, and how nutrition can support your specific symptoms, goals, and lifestyle.
Because PCOS isn’t just about food; it’s about your hormones, your energy, your cycle, your wellbeing.
2. Nutrition Can Help - Without Dieting or Deprivation
Yes, nutrition plays a powerful role in managing PCOS, but that doesn’t mean you need to cut out everything you enjoy.
In fact, extreme restriction can backfire, leading to binge eating, low energy, and more hormonal stress.
Instead, I focus on:
✔️ Balancing blood sugar with smart food pairings
✔️ Including carbs - in the right way, at the right time
✔️ Supporting regular cycles through meal timing, fibre and protein
✔️ Reducing inflammation through simple, sustainable swaps
✔️ Improving energy and reducing cravings without guilt
I take a non-diet, weight-inclusive approach, which means I care more about your health, habits and symptoms than what the scales say. If weight loss happens, that’s fine, but it’s never the only goal.
3. You’re Not Alone - I’m Here to Support You
Many women with PCOS leave their doctor’s office feeling overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next. Google throws a thousand opinions at you. Diet culture tells you it’s your fault. And it’s easy to feel like your body is working against you.
But here’s the truth:
You can support your hormones and improve your symptoms with the right tools, and you don’t have to do it alone.
Whether you’re trying to improve your cycles, plan for pregnancy, manage fatigue, or just feel better in your body, I’m here to help you find a path that works for you.
